Bare with me whilst I grab some files...
I'm James New a front end web developer based on the Wirral. I have been involved in websites for 4 years, as each year has gone by I have improved and honed my skills. In 2012 I graduated from Chester University with a 1st class honours degree in computer science. As soon as I finished university I was set on finding a career in front end web development.
As a result of this I currently work in house at stone create.
I offer affordable website development for clients on a freelance basis, you can see some of my work below. By using the languages and tools you can see on the right (or below if you're on a mobile!), I produce high quality code with design in mind at all times to make sure it is exactly as required.
Please feel free to contact me regarding any projects by email or via the contact form at the bottom of the page...
During my time as the departments front end web developer, I have worked on many projects. The main emphasis to my role when I joined the team was to re-develop the current website we had. The project was carefully planned and structured meaning that the development process was very efficient. The design / branding had to be totally revamped by a fellow colleague.
Due to business growth at yoursuresave.com, another side of the business was developed specialising for customers who are business owners. This was in the form of yoursuresave.biz. With the graphical development of the brand/website undertook by a colleague, the task to develop the website was given to me.
The website had to be responsive, which was a new skill I had a chance to develop. I coded the responsive website using HTML5 + CSS3, combined with CSS Media Queries for key device/resolution breakpoints. This allowed for the website to be fluid across all devices. Following on from yoursuresave.com I implemented the website using the same framework – Cake PHP, which helped speed up the development process for the project.
Prudent Pensions is a company that specialises in Pension, Asset & Remuneration Management Services. This piece of work was for a freelance client, who had already had a design completed.
I felt for the project no framework was required. The reason for this being that the project was small. I used my usual code editor Sublime text 2, to develop the website with. By combining Valid HTML5/CSS3 with JQuery the final product was exactly what the client was looking for in terms of functionality.
Love Is Patient is the name of a popular King James bible passage. It was used as a piece for a typography brief for a graphic design student called Lee Rosney.
